Emma Drewett (Townley) RAD RTS is an experienced, enthusiastic teacher who is dedicated to motivating her students to the best of their ability. Emma has a good understanding of dance as she has loved dancing since starting ballet aged three. Emma then went on to study Jazz and Modern dance and achieved advanced levels in all of these dance subjects.

After completing her A levels (including dance) Emma auditioned for several dance schools and accepted an offer into the Northern Ballet School. Emma started their three year performer’s course (which consisted of studying Jazz dance, Modern dance, Contemporary dance, Ballet, Singing, Body Conditioning and Tap dance).

After realising that she truly wanted to pass on her passion and skills to others by teaching dance, she enrolled on the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies Course at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and graduated in November 2010.

To offer a fully comprehensive service Emma qualified as a Zumba Fitness instructor in December 2012 and got a Diploma in Dance Teaching Instruction in Modern Theatre Dance in 2015.

During her career Emma has benefited from experiencing many teaching styles and methods enabling her to recognise what works well with different students.

Emma's approach to teaching

“As a teacher I love to encourage every student to achieve the best of their ability. I am therefore never ceased to be amazed in what people can achieve resulting in an addition to my absolute adoration for my job.

I am very passionate about dance and always try to share this with my students in every way I can. I strongly believe that dance can benefit so many people, even for those not wanting to pursue it as a career.”
